  • Hard luck to our Junior Camogie team who were beaten in the Leinster Final by Presentation Wexford by a single point.  Played on Saturday last in Jenkinstown, our girls played into a stiff wind in the first half, were eleven points down early in the second half and managed to bring that lead back to a point.  Fortune however was not on their side and they must re-group now to face into an All-Ireland semi final in two weeks time.

  • Hard luck to our schools Senior Hurling team who were beaten on Saturday in the Leinster Roinn A quarter final by Kilkenny  C.B.S.  Despite a good run of form on the run into the match, drawing with St Kierans in the first round and beating Birr by 9 points in the next round, our boys never got off the ground in the first half against C.B.S.  They were 11 points behind at half time and despite a valiant come-back effort in the second half, they could never manage to bring the lead back to less than eight points.

Wellread Programme

We are delighted to announce that we have received the "wellread" award, an initiative designed and organised by the Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST). It aims to create heightened awareness about the importance of creating a culture of reading in school communities for our young people as part of their personal and academic development. The school community is now recognised nationally as a school that promotes and encourages a culture of reading.

You can read more about the award on the PDST website by clicking here, and you can find out more about our school initiatives under the "extra-curricular" tab above.
